Yash Raj Films (YRF) aims to create some of the best digital content India has ever seen. The business unveils Mandala Murders, a grimy criminal thriller, as its second original online television programme under the name YRF Entertainment!
The suspenseful entertainment was written and directed by Gopi Puthran of Mardaani 2 fame. Vaani Kapoor will lead, and Vaibhav Raj Gupta (of the highly acclaimed programme Gullak Fame) will co-star. After his outstanding performance in Gullak, he was given his first main role!
The series will be co-directed by Manan Rawat, who has previously served as an Associate Director on numerous YRF films.
Gopi will film Mandala Murders in Uttar Pradesh for roughly a month before moving on to Delhi and, finally, Mumbai to finish the project. The team will film Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. The big-budget production will therefore boast a vast canvas and a magnificent scale as it was filmed in 5 distinct Indian towns!
Vaani Kapoor, who gained admiration for her excellent and heartfelt portrayal of a transgender girl in Abhishek Kapoor’s Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, is slated to dazzle once more in this programme that serves as her entry into over-the-top (OTT) entertainment.
In Mandala Murders, important roles have also been cast for Surveen Chawla and Jameel Khan (again, of Gullak fame).
The ambitious OTT schedule of YRF includes this multi-season show in addition to the eagerly anticipated The Railway Men, which is based on the tragic 1984 Bhopal Gas Disaster. The principal characters of this series, R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyendu, and Babil Khan, pay respect to the courageous railway personnel who saved many lives during this tragic night of carnage and terror.
