The Pope’s Exorcist, a Julius Avery-directed horror movie, now has an official trailer from Sony Pictures.
Russell Crowe, Franco Nero, Laurel Marsden, River Hawkins, Pablo Raybould, Daniel Zovatto, Alex Essoe, and Ralph Ineson are among the actors who appear in the movie.
Russell Crowe plays the Head Exorcist of the Vatican in this exorcism film. In actual life, Father Gabriele Amorth was a priest who served the Vatican and oversaw more than 100,000 exorcisms during his career.
Amorth chronicled his battles with Satan, and the demons that had ensnared individuals in their depravity in two autobiographies titled An Exorcist Tells His Tale and An Exorcist: Additional Accounts.
The thriller film The Pope’s Exorcist, starring Academy Award winner Russell Crowe as Chief Exorcist of the Vatican Father Gabriele Amorth, follows Amorth as he looks into a little boy’s terrible possession and discovers a long-running plot the Vatican has frantically sought to keep secret.
Doug Belgrad, Michael Patrick Kaczmarek, and Jeff Katz are the producers. The movie is scheduled for release on April 14, 2023.
