Marathi film Godavari is all set for its world premiere at the Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF). Now the Makers released the International trailer of the film. The VIFF will be from 1 to October 11. The film will be shown virtually throughout the festival, as part of the Contemporary World Cinema line-up.
The Godavari film tells the story of Nishikant(played by Jitendra Joshi), who is angry and fed up with his routine life. The film is about what he and his family go through and the association of their life with the river Godavari. Nikhil Mahajan directed the film. He shared the trailer on his Twitter handle with the caption, “Presenting the International Trailer for GODAVARI. After its World Premiere in Vancouver International Film Festival, Godavari is set for its Indian Release in December 2021 – In cinemas. @godavarithefilm @VIFFest #GodavariTheFilm”
After its World Premiere in VIFF, Godavari will be releasing in Indian cinemas in December 2021. The film also has Sanjay Mone, Vikram Gokhale, Neena Kulkarni, Priyadarshan Jadhav and Gauri Nalawade.
Jitendra Joshi also makes his debut as a producer with this project. Jitendra Joshi Pictures, along with Blue Drop Films, produced the film. Prajakt Deshmukh and Nikhil Mahajan wrote the screenplay of the Godavari film. A V Prafullachandra composes music for film, Shamin Kulkarni handles the cinematography.
