Taapsee Pannu Starrer Much awaited film Shabaash Mithu’s teaser is finally released on Monday. The film is a biopic of Indian Women’s Cricket team captain, Mithali Raj. She has inspired millions of girls to take up Gentlemen’s sport as a profession. Taapsee is playing the lead character of the cricketer.
Taapsee shared the teaser of Shabaas Mithu on her Twitter handle with the caption, “In this Gentlemen’s sport, she did not bother to rewrite history ….. instead, she created HER STORY! #AbKhelBadlega #ShabaashMithu Coming soon! #BreakTheBias #ShabaashMithu #ShabaashWomen #ShabaashYou.”
The teaser starts with the commentator’s voice saying, “she has been the most consistent player.” and calling it the magical moment of Indian Cricket. Taapsee starts walking into the stadium as Cricketer Mithali Raj and the crowd started cheering for her.
The teaser highlighted the glorious achievement of Indian women’s team captain, such as – “The only Indian Cricketer score seven consecutive 50s in ODI, a captain in 4 World Cups, the youngest to score a Test 200, and playing for 23 years.
Directed by Srijit Mukherjee and produced by Viacom18 Studios. The creative Producer of Shabaash Mithu is Ajit Andhare, Written by Priya Aven. Along with Taapse, the film also stars Vijay Raaz.
Mithali Raj is currently leading India at the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 in New Zealand.
