Taapsee Pannu’s upcoming film Rashmi Rocket is all set to premiere on Dussehra, October 15. Akarsh Khurana directed the film. It also stars Priyanshu Painyuli, Abhishek Banerjee and Supriya Pathak. Rashmi Rocket will release digitally on ZEE5 and produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP & Mango People Media. Taapsee Pannu is playing the role of an athlete named Rashmi in the sports drama.
Taapsee shared the news on her Twitter handle about the release date of the film. She shared the film’s poster along with the caption, “Get ready to run with Rashmi in this race on and off the track. She will need you in this one Woman runningRocket #RashmiRocket ready to take off on October 15, 2021, only on @zee5”.
The film’s story is based on a young girl from Gujarat who expressed an ambition to become a runner. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand, and Pranjal Khandhdiya. Rashmi Rocket is written by Nanda Periyasamy, Aniruddha Guha, and Kanika Dhillon.
As per the ANI report, Taapsee shared how crucial this film is for her. She said, “This film is special very differently. I’ve always been approached when either the script or the director is ready to make the film, but one line of this story fell in my lap in Chennai and then from there to it becoming a full-fledged film has been a feeling I haven’t experienced with any other film before. Everyone was just so sure about the story from day one that it was never a tough job to convince any stakeholders to join hands and give their best for this film. Hence the result of this film will affect me a lot more than my other films. Also, I’m extremely proud of it.”
Rashmi Rocket will be releasing on ZEE5 on October 15.
