Suresh Raina remains one of the most celebrated cricketers from Team India. He stunned the cricketing world when he announced his retirement from international cricket in August last year. He is currently a part of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) camp and was last seen in action during the first phase of IPL 2021 before the pandemic affected the tournament. Former Indian player named few South Indian actors who would be ideal to portray him on the silver screen.
At present, biopics of many celebrities are being made in the Indian film industry. For example, Kangana Ranaut will be seen in the biopic of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa; Ajay Devgan is working in the biopic of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Meanwhile, Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has talked about his biopic and told which actor should play his role.
Raina deliberated on his specific choice for South Indian actors who he wants to guise up in his biopic. In a recent live session on Instagram, he said, “I want someone who can take that emotion forward because playing for the country or CSK is not easy. I want someone from the South who can do it. So they can understand how much Chennai and Chennai Super Kings mean to me. I have two-three names in my mind”, he further said, “I’d say Suriya. I am sure he can act. And Dulquer Salmaan is really good at acting”.
Earlier this month, Suresh Raina released his autobiography ‘Believe — What Life and Cricket Taught Me’ on June 14. In a Twitter post, Raina shared the news with fans.
