The creators of SRI, a biopic on the blind industrialist Srikanth Bolla, have released a teaser poster and announced the film’s release date. Rajkummar Rao plays the lead in the film.

The movie, which also features Jyotika, Alaya F, and Sharad Kelkar, is based on the life of industrialist Srikanth Bolla, who is blind. It tells the inspiring tale of a man who overcame his blindness to accomplish his goals.
Bolla, raised in Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, among a farming family, sued the state government after being denied the chance to enrol in the Science stream after passing his Class X examinations on the grounds of his disability. He won the lawsuit and took first place in Class XII at his school.
Additionally, he participated in the Lead India 2020 initiative started by the late President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. He founded organisations to support the Sustainable Development Goals and the rehabilitation of the crippled and founded Bollant Industries, which creates reusable goods out of waste.
Jagdeep Sidhu and Sumit Purohit wrote the script for the movie, and Tushar Hiranandani directed it. The movie will premiere on September 15, 2023, in theatres.
