Sonchiriya is the story of a group of bandits or dakus as called in India. The year is 1975 when Indian bandits were ruling the place. The group is headed by their Sardar Man Singh or dadda.
The film is shot in the actual location of Chambal. We all know Chambal is always known for deadly bandits. In fact, it is one of most of the dangerous places to ever visit.
As the film is set in the 1970s when Chambal was actually the center of dacoits.
Sonchirya tells a story of group of banditsMansingh or dadda(Manoj bajaypee, Lakaa(sushant singh rajput) and Vakil singh(ranvir shorey).
But when Man singh aka dadda gets killed by police forces lakka and Vakil singh have a difference
of opinion. This further divides the group into two.Lakka(Sushant Singh Rajput) kidnaps another famous dacoit to get ransom money from them. Vakil Singh on the other hand launches a manhunt to find Lakka and his members.
Both groups now are being hunted by Inspector Gujjar(Ashutosh Rana
Ashutosh Rana once again manages to steal the show with his brilliant portayal of Inspector Gujjar.
The direction of Abhishek Chaubey is good and never moves away from the script of the film. Performance of all the cast is good. Sonchriya is having the best of actors like Manoj BAJPAI, Sushant Singh Rajput, Ranvir Shorey, Bhumi pedenkar and Ashutosh Rana giving great performances.
