Anupam Kher, an actor, claims that the upcoming slice-of-life play Shiv Shastri Balboa appeals to all age groups.
Anupam Kher talked with the media at a promotional event alongside the entire Shiv Shastri Balboa cast and creative team.
When asked about the movie, Anupam Kher said, “This film has elements for everybody. The elder generation will relate with us (Anupam and Neena). There is the middle generation, my kid in the film (Jugal Hansraj), who is not yet overage or underage, and finally, my grandkid in the film, so there are three generations in the film, and it is about their conflict as well.”
“The film is not a panic situation, where Neena’s character has lost her passport, and I am trying to take her to the airport. We are living our lives in between, the film is a heart-warming tale, and I must thank our producers for treating this film properly, despite being a low-budget drama,” added Anupam.
Shiv Shastri, an Indian retiree and ardent Rocky fan, immigrates to the United States and finds himself on an unexpected journey through the American heartland, learning that it’s never too late to reinvent yourself.
In addition to Jugal Hansraj, Nargis Fakhri, and Sharib Hashmi, the film is directed by Ajay Venugopalan and is a Kishore Varieth production.
The movie will premiere on February 10th, 2023.
