Dunki, the comedy-drama starring Shah Rukh Khan, is one of the most awaited Bollywood movies of the year. Thanks to its ‘Dunki drops’ advertisements, the Rajkumar Hirani-directed film has been the talk of the town lately. Today, the creators unveiled a melancholic track featuring Sonu Nigam that expresses longing for the homeland.
The makers of the Shah Rukh Khan film Dunki released a song today, December 1st, called Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se. Sonu Nigam sings the emotional tune written by Pritam and features lyrics by Javed Akhtar. The touching lyrics, which discuss longing for homeland, connect with the audience.
Shah Rukh Khan stated on X (formerly known as Twitter) that the new Dunki song is about our homeland, home, and nation. He further said that although we must leave our villages, cities, and countries for better lives, our hearts always stay in our places. He also mentioned him as his “favourite from Dunki.”
In a previous song called Lutt Putt Gaya, SRK’s character Hardy transforms into a hopeless romantic for Taapsee Pannu’s character Manu. A sneak peek of the plot was provided by the 1-minute, 47-second Dunki Drop 1 video, released earlier.
