Honey Singh has decreased the number of songs he writes for Bollywood movies. Selfiee, starring Akshay Kumar and Diana Penty, will include his first Hindi movie song of 2023. The singer-composer also penned the words for Kudi Chamkeeli. Akshay and Diana can be seen dancing to the peppy dance song in the video. The song video includes a notice at the bottom stating that it is only for promotional purposes and will not be included in the movie.
Diana first encounters Akshay as she enters the mall courtyard at the beginning of Kudi Chamkeeli. She hangs out with her buddies as the actor attempts to win her around with the song. Finally, Honey Singh is seen in the video and tries to talk with Diana, much to Akshay’s displeasure in the song.
Diana and Akshay are both dressed colourfully in the Kudi Chamkeeli. Diana Penty shines in the video’s dance track outfits. The songs and the accompanying video’s tempos are relatively relaxed, and a faster beat would have helped the song sound more lively. Prince Gupta did the choreography for the song, while Ahmed Khan directed the music video. Fans praised Honey Singh’s comeback.
Nushratt Bharuccha and Emraan Hashmi are also featured in Selfiee. Raj Mehta directed the Hindi version of the 2019 Malayalam film Driving Licence. With Driving Licence’s star, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Akshay is the movie’s producer. Dharma Productions, Prithviraj, Cape of Good Films, Magic Frames and Star Studios are the producers of Selfiee. The Hindi movie, which Rishhabh Sharrma scripts, will open in theatres on February 24.
