Handsome hunk Sanjay Dutt pens a moving tribute to his late father Sunil Dutt on his birth anniversary.
Today is legendary actor Sunil Dutt’s birth anniversary (June 6) and on the occasion, his son Sanjay Dutt has shared a heartfelt post on social media. The post entails a collage of two images from the film Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. which features Sunil Dutt and Sanjay Dutt in the role of father and son.
Sanjay Dutt penned a moving tribute to his father. In the caption, he wrote, “Your belief and love helped make me who I am today. You were, are and will always be my hero. Happy birthday, Dad”
Nargis and Sunil Dutt married in 1958 and had three children – Sanjay Dutt, Priya Dutt and Namrata Dutt.
Politician Priya Dutt also shared a throwback picture of her father and wrote, “Happy birthday to the most handsome, loving, spirited gentleman I have known and I say it with pride, he is my father my hero. He raised the bar too high, they don’t make them like him anymore. Love you dad and thank you for being that pillar in our lives #sunildutt #integrity #honesty #father #myhero”
On the work front, Sanjay Dutt was last seen in KGF Chapter 2 and Samrat Prithviraj and next he has lined-up some of the biggest releases, such as Shamshera, The Good Maharaja, Ghudchadi and Khalnayak 2.
Shamshera is directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The film also stars Ranbir Kapoor as the eponymous anti-hero alongside Vaani Kapoor. A period drama based on dacoits, Shamshera will also be released simultaneously in IMAX and dubbed Tamil and Telugu versions.
Shamshera is the first film featuring Ranbir Kapoor in a double role; Dutt plays the main antagonist and Vaani Kapoor portrays a dancer. The film is slated for 2022 release.
