Actress Samantha signed her next project with Downton Abbey director Philip John. She has been roped in to play the lead role in ‘Arrangements of Love’ movie. The film is an adaptation of the bestselling 2004 novel of the same title by Indian author Timeri N. Murari, reported Variety.
Sharing the news on Twitter, Samantha posted a pic with BAFTA-winning director Philip John and captioned it, “A whole new world Absolutely thrilled to be a part of Arrangements Of Love. Thank you sir, #PhilipJohn for picking me to be #Anu Can’t wait to begin this exciting journey .. Thankyou @SunithaTati, always.”
Talking about the project, Samantha said, “A whole new world opens up for me today as I start my journey with ‘Arrangements of Love.” Which has such an endearing and personal story. I am excited to work with Philip John, whose projects I have closely followed for many years, being a big fan of Downton Abbey.”
She further added, “I am looking forward to collaborating with Sunitha once again. I hope for only more success than we previously had with ‘Oh! Baby’. My role is a complex character, and it will be both a challenge and an opportunity for me to play it. I cannot wait to get on set. The film is expected to go on floors in August 2022,” as reported in the ANI.
On the work front, Samantha made her digital debut with The Family Man 2; she essayed the role of Raji, a Sri Lankan Tamil liberation fighter on a suicide mission. The actress will next be seen in Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal and Shaakuntalam.
