Ace filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in lead roles, has entered the 100 crore club in five days at the box office. On Tuesday, the film continued with its strong run at the ticket windows and earned Rs 11.22 crore net. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film’s total collection is 102.81 crore net.
Taking Twitter, Taran Adarsh wrote, “#Sooryavanshi is 100 NOT OUT… Continues to attract substantial footfalls even on weekdays, especially in #Maharashtra and #Gujarat… Eyes ₹ 120 cr [+/-] total in *Week 1*… Fri 26.29 cr, Sat 23.85 cr, Sun 26.94 cr, Mon 14.51 cr, Tue 11.22 cr. ‘Sooryavanshi’ is the third film in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe after Ajay Devgn’s ‘Singham’ and Ranveer-starrer’ Simmba.’ The film was scheduled to hit the screens in March last year, but the nationwide lockdown postponed the film’s release. Akshay essays the title role in the film with Katrina playing his love interest. The film has managed to collect 102.81 crores in just five days.
Rohit Shetty took to Instagram and thanked his fans for showering all the love and support. “THANK YOU INDIA,” he wrote.
Reportedly, Sooryavanshi is Rohit’s 9th film to cross the 100 crore mark, and he holds the record for maximum movies in the 100 crore club.
