Rishab Shetty’s fans were surprised by his first look as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. In addition to unveiling the film’s look, the makers announced January 21, 2027, as the release date. There hasn’t been much information disclosed about the movie yet.
Taking to X handle, Taran Adarsh shared the look. The prequel to Rishab Shetty’s popular film is currently under production. Kantara: Chapter 1, written and directed by Rishab Shetty, will be released on October 2, 2025, by Gandhi Jayanti. Vijay Kiragandur is producing the second part of Kantara under the Hombale Films label. It will be available in Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, Kannada, and English. Despite being promoted as a precursor to the events of Kantara, the film’s main story remains to be seen, and the identities of the cast members are also being kept under wraps.
