Rajkummar Rao will soon play the role of a visually impaired industrialist, Srikanth Bolla. Directed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Chalk N Cheese Films Production LLP. The yet-to-be-titled film is the biopic of a visually impaired industrialist who didn’t let his visual impairment come into his career.
Sharing the update about the film, T-series shared the photo of Rajkummar Rao and Shrikanth Bolla with the team on Twitter. They captioned it, “Proud to announce a biopic on the inspiring story of visually impaired industrialist #SrikanthBolla. Starring @RajkummarRao & directed by #TusharHiranandani. Produced by #BhushanKumar, #KrishanKumar & @nidhiparmar.”
According to the ANI report, speaking about the film, Rajkummar Rao said, “Srikanth Bolla is an inspiration! It’s indeed a privilege to play such an inspiring persona who has been through a lot of hardships and, despite that, has risen like a phoenix! I am really looking forward to playing Srikant.”
On backing the project, Bhushan Kumar said, “Srikanth Bolla’s story testifies the very proverb of acing against the odds. Having faced so many challenges since birth, yet not letting anything hamper his dreams – his journey is truly inspirational. And it’s indeed a privilege to be associated with a person like him. The personality of this character is such that only an actor of a caliber like Rajkummar Rao can justify it, and we are happy to have such a fine actor on board,” reported in the ANI.
Written by Sumit Purohit and Jagdeep Sidhu, The film’s shoot will start in July 2022.
