Makers of the film Badhai Do has announced the film’s new release date, starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar. The film was earlier scheduled to hit theatres on the Republic Day weekend, 2022. Now the film will release in cinemas on February 4, 2022. Badhaai Do is directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni and produced by Junglee Pictures.
Taking Twitter, Junglee Pictures shared the news about the change in release date. They wrote, “The release date of Badhaai Do has been shifted to 4th February 2022, due to changing release schedules. Badhaai Do now arriving in the month of love and what could be a better way to start the month!”
Rajkummar and Bhumi are sharing the screen space for the first time. Both will be seen portraying exciting characters. Bhumi will be essaying the role of a PT teacher, while Rajkummar will be playing a cop in a Mahila police thana. The film also stars Seema Pahwa, Sheeba Chadha, Lovleen Mishra, Nitish Pandey, Shashi Bhushan.
‘Badhaai Do’ is a sequel of the superhit film ‘Badhaai Ho,’ starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao, late actor Surekha Sikri in the lead roles. Both films have different stories and characters, but both are family-oriented films endearing to the audience. Badhaai Ho had won a National Award for the Best Popular Film in 2019.
On the Workfront, Rajkummar Rao was last seen in his latest release, Hum Do Hamare Do, along with Kriti Sanon. Bhumi will be seen in the movie Raksha Bandhan opposite Akshay Kumar.
