Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule, a commercial action-packed drama, is not just a local success but a global phenomenon. It has become the fastest Indian film to cross the ₹1,300 crore mark at the worldwide box office.
The total revenue generated by Pushpa 2 was ₹282.91 crore on its first day, ₹134.63 crores on its second day, ₹159.27 crore on its third day, ₹204.52 crore on its fourth day, ₹101.35 crore on its fifth day, ₹80.74 crore on its sixth day, and ₹69.03 crore on its seventh day.
This took the movie’s first-week worldwide box office collections to ₹1,032.45 crore. After this, Allu Arjun’s movie experienced a minor decline in its worldwide box office performance on days eight and nine, with a decrease in revenue of approximately 20% compared to the previous days.
On its eighth and ninth days, the commercial actioner earned ₹54.09 crore and ₹49.31 crore, respectively. However, the movie’s revenue climbed on days 10 and 11. Pushpa 2 made ₹82.56 crore on its tenth day and ₹104.24 crore on its eleventh, bringing its total box office collections to ₹1,322.65 crore worldwide.
According to film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, this puts the movie in third place among all Indian films ever made, behind Aamir Khan’s Dangal and Prabhas’ Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.
Despite the controversies surrounding Allu Arjun, including a legal issue that led to his brief detention, the movie keeps reaching new heights. On Friday morning, Allu Arjun was taken into custody from his residence and spent the day at the local police station. He had to spend the night in jail even though he was given bail that same evening. The actor was released on Saturday morning.
The Sukumar-directed movie revolves around a sandalwood mafia who finds it difficult to maintain his smuggling operation in the face of more strict police checks. Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh, and Anasuya Bharadwaj play essential parts in the movie.
