Sukumar’s much-awaited teaser for Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Rashmika Mandanna and Allu Arjun, was released on Monday. The story continues from where Pushpa: The Rise, the 2021 smash hit, left off in this sequel.
A jatara can be seen in the teaser, with the audience chanting and praying to Goddess Kali. A shot of gunghroo—someone lining their eyelids with kohl, flaunting their jhumkas, and a shot of the forehead with bottu—is soon shown. However, it isn’t a woman who has been twirling a Trishul or donning a blue pattu saree. The audience watches in astonishment as Allu turns into Pushpa Raj and defeats enemies while donning a jatara avatar. He threatens to take down even more goons than he has done at the teaser’s end.
Allu, Rashmika, and Fahadh Faasil will return to their roles as Pushpa Raj, Srivalli, and Inspector Bhanwar Singh Shekawat in Pushpa 2: The Rule. The movie, which also stars Anasuya Bharadwaj, Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjay, Ajay, and others, will be released on August 15 of this year. Expectations for the second film are high because Allu’s performance in the first movie won him a National Award. Academy and BAFTA award winner Resul Pookutty will be handling sound design for Pushpa 2: The Rule, which features music by Devi Sri Prasad.
