Producer Vijay Gilani, who has produced the film Ajnabee and Veer, has died. His friend and Producer Ramesh Taurani shared the news on social media.
Taking to Instagram, Ramesh Taurani shared the news on his official handle. He wrote, “Very unfortunate and saddening to know our dear friend Vijay Gallani passed away…May his soul rest in peace.. deepest condolences to his family and friends…Om Shanti #ripvijaygallani.”
Vijay was the director of The Indian Film TV Producers Council. IFTPC also gave heartfelt condolence to Vijay on their official Twitter handle. “Deeply Heartbreaking and Saddening news of our beloved IFTPC director and Indian Film Producer Vijay Galani passing away…You always inspired and motivated us…Will dearly miss you ..RIP. Heartfelt condolences to the family and friends,” They tweeted.
As per several reports, Vijay had travelled to the UK a few days back for his cancer treatment. He was in his late 50s and breathed his last on Wednesday night.
Vijay was a very successful producer of Bollywood. His last produced film was The Power, directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. The film starring Vidyut Jammwal, Shruti Haasan, Prateik Babbar and Sachin Khedekar. It had released on an OTT platform in January this year.
