After a lot of anticipation, the OMG 2 trailer is out now. The movie, in which Akshay Kumar plays a “messenger of Shiva,” tells a story of a father’s battle for his son’s right to an education. Pankaj Tripathi portrays the man in the movie.
In the trailer’s beginning, Lord Shiva asks his devoted Nandi to send one of his messengers to Pankaj’s Kanti Sharan Mudgal, whose son is expelled from school for engaging in a “vulgar” act. Kanti filed a lawsuit before the court, but he also serves as the defendant and the accuser. When Yami Gautam, a lawyer, faces against Kanti in court, Shiva’s messenger helps him in the right direction.
OMG, 2, directed by Amit Rai, and Sunny Deol’s next action movie Gadar 2, will have a major Bollywood clash. Since releasing the movie’s posters and trailer, OMG 2 has been under the radar. According to several reports, the censor board halted the film because they wanted to be extra cautious considering the religious elements of the story.
The trailer’s release was postponed in honour of art director Nitin Desai, who was found dead earlier in the day on Wednesday. Akshay posted about the update on social media. Akshay tweeted, “Unbelievably sad to know about the demise of Nitin Desai. He was a stalwart in production design and such a big part of our cinema fraternity. He worked on so many of my films… this is a huge loss. Out of respect, we are not releasing the OMG 2 trailer today. I will launch it tomorrow at 11 am. Om Shanti.”
