The first song from Akshay Kumar’s next movie OMG 2, has been out, and it is a beautiful Shiv bhajan (hymn) starring Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay as Lord Shiva. The song, Oonchi Oonchi Waadi, was written and performed by Hansraj Raghuwanshi to music by Djstrings. Kabeer Shukla, Hansraj Raghuwanshi, Djstrings, and Raahi collaborated on the song’s composition and writing.
In Oonchi Oonchi Waadi, Pankaj is depicted as an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. He spends his spare time performing puja with his family at home, singing bhajans in a Shiv temple, and washing the temple corridors.
Things go wrong for his son, who struggles to fit in at a bigger, better school. Pankaj is viewed as a worried father as well. In the role of Lord Shiva, Akshay Kumar saves them and gives both the father and the boy the courage to face difficulties in life. Yet, there is a scene where a boy attempts suicide by coming in front of a train; however, it is unclear whether or not the boy is saved.
Akshay Kumar posted the song’s poster on Monday, showing Pankaj seated on a scooter with his hands uplifted and surrounded by worshipers of Shiva. He had a tilak on his forehead and wore a blue jacket and a half-sleeved shirt. He also wrote, “Bhole Shankar resides in #OonchiOonchiWaadi. Song out tomorrow! OMG, 2 in theatres on August 11.”
The audience responded positively to the OMG 2 trailer, which debuted last week. Akshay appeared with a look influenced by Lord Shiva, while Pankaj was presented as Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a Shiva devotee. He appeared in an avatar with dreadlocks and six-pack abs. Yami Gautam plays a lawyer in the Amit Rai-directed film OMG 2. The movie OMG 2 is a sequel to the 2012 movie OMG: Oh my God, starring Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar. In that movie, Lord Krishna served as the inspiration for Akshay’s character.
