The first photos from actor Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan’s wedding reception have been released by fitness instructor Nupur Shikhare. In the first photo, he is seen lifting Ira, but the bride does the same for him in the second.
The newlyweds held a reception for Bollywood and Mumbai celebrities at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre on Saturday, following their lavish Indian wedding in Udaipur earlier this week. Nupur wore a shimmering black sherwani with a red pocket square, while Ira dressed up in a red lehenga. The pair looked stunning at their star-studded wedding celebration.
Nupur posted a few photos from the reception on his Instagram account on Sunday. She lifts him in the second picture as he graciously poses with Ira in the first. While posting the pictures Nupur stated, “I want to be Very Married with you bubs.”
Nupur and Ira’s wedding celebrations appear to have a running fitness theme. The groom attracted attention by running to their Mumbai wedding location and signing the marriage papers while decked up in a black gunji and shorts. Before their wedding festivities in Udaipur, the couple were spotted performing headstands. Ira can now be seen lifting her husband in a photo from their wedding reception.
Ira Khan, the daughter of Aamir Khan and Nupur Shikhare, recently married in Udaipur according to Christian customs. They had already tied the knot in a legal marriage on January 3 at Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai.
It has been reported that Nupur and Ira got to know one another during the COVID-19 lockdown when Ira was living with her father and Nupur was training Aamir Khan.
