“No Khan’s, Just One Bachchan, I’d Wanted To Work,” With Says Ekta Kapoor

During the unveiling of the Goodbye teaser, in which Amitabh Bachchan plays the lead, producer Ekta Kapoor broke down in tears and declared that her childhood dream had come true.

Ekta Kapoor engaged the media while the Goodbye trailer was being released. Rashmika Mandanna, a rising South star, makes her Hindi cinema debut with this project.

Talking about Goodbye and her emotional outburst, Ekta Kapoor said, “Everyone saw me get emotional. Ever since childhood, I’d dreamed about working with just one person, Amitabh Bachchan. When I was a little kid, I used to go to his house to celebrate birthday parties, as Abhishek and Shweta were my friends, and I remember Amit’s uncle would call my father and tell him that his daughter just sat there for an entire evening and stared at me.”

“I don’t think I ever wanted to work with anyone, No Khans, no one, except for Mr Amitabh Bachchan. And finally, Vikas Bahl has made my dream come true,” added Ekta.

Vikas Bahl is the author and director of Goodbye. The movie was co-produced by Bahl and Viraj Savant and was produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. It also had supporting performances from Neena Gupta, Sunil Grover, Pavail Gulati, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elli AvrRam, Sahil Mehta, and Shivin Narang.

The movie will debut in theatres on October 7, 2022.
