Netflix has shared the new clip from the much-awaited sci-fi adventure film The Adam Project, starring Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Walker Scobell, Catherine Keener and Zoe Saldana.
Sharing the clip on Twitter, the official handle of Netflixfilm wrote, “POV: You’re 12 years old and just met your future self—and he’s Ryan Reynolds. Adam meets Adam in this exclusive clip from @ShawnLevyDirect’s #TheAdamProject on Netflix on March 11.”
The film’s story is about a man (Ryan Reynolds) travelling back in time to seek help from his 13-year-old self (played by newcomer Walker Scobell). In the video, the younger and the older Adam Reed meet at the childhood home they grew up in. As their discussion progresses, the younger Adam realises that both share the same memories and even use the exact words to yell at their dog. Then the 13-year-old boy understands that he’s looking at his future self.
Written by Jonathan Tropper, T.S. Nowlin, Jennifer Flackett and Mark Levin. Shawn Levy helms the Adam project. The film is produced by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger for sky dance. Director levy also produced for 21 Laps Entertainment, and Ray Reynolds will produce through his Maximum Effort banner.
As per the Deadline report, The film will be the first project for Reynolds’ The Group Effort Initiative, a self-financed diversity and inclusion program that aims to give people of colour a chance to work and learn on the actor’s productions. The Group Effort Initiative is a joint effort between Maximum Effort and B for Effort.
The Adam Project will release on Netflix on March 11, 2022.
