And she looked stunning at this year’s Met Gala. Alia dazzled on the Met Gala red carpet in a breathtaking Sabyasachi saree. Interestingly, when Alia arrived at the Met Gala on the red carpet, her traditional attire garnered the loudest cheers. As Alia posed for them on the red carpet, international paparazzi couldn’t stop screaming her name.
Renowned designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who also walked the carpet this year, designed the saree, which took about 163 artisans and 1965 man-hours to complete. What we adore most about Alia is how proud she seemed to be representing India in a silhouette that she loves.
In the meantime, Alia’s next motion picture release is Jigra. Vasan Bala directs the movie, which Alia and Karan Johar co-produce. She has also signed on to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War, together with Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor.
