Contrary to recent rumors’, actor Naga Chaitanya won’t appear in the Telugu version of Kartik Aaryan’s horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The actor’s team issued a statement denying reports that he had agreed to the film.
According to rumours, Jyotika had been cast in Tabu’s role, and Chaitanya was set to reprise Kartik Aaryan’s. The horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 lit up the box office with nearly 200 crores in revenue, and Kiara Advani also played the lead in the movie.
Chaitanya’s team issued a statement in which they made it clear that the actor is not a part of the version. The report said, “FACT CHECK: The news which is being circulated on social media regarding @Chay_Akkineni doing the south remake of #BhoolBhulaiya2 is completely false. Requesting the respected media handles not to spread the fake news.”
Naga Chaitanya had his Bollywood debut with Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan’s take on Forrest Gump, last year. Chaitanya portrayed the army officer Balaraju in the movie. He recently talked about the movie’s box office disaster and claimed that he had no regrets whatsoever because he loved working alongside Aamir Khan.
The actor’s upcoming project on Prime Video is Dootha. It will be released this year, and it’s his OTT debut.
