The first season of Mirzapur, released in 2018, was an adrenaline rush. Action, deceit, politics, and a great deal of power were all there. Fans cried at the death of Vikrant Massey, nicknamed Bablu Pandit, and were astounded by Pankaj Tripathi’s scary portrayal of Kaleen Bhaiya. While we cheered for Ali Fazal, nicknamed Guddu Pandit, in season two because of his hunger for revenge, Divyenndu’s versatile portrayal of Mirzapur’s power-hungry prince Munna Bhaiya was captivating. The long-awaited sequel, Mirzapur 3, was released at midnight today, and the anticipation among fans was palpable. However, the season failed to live up to these high expectations.
Shweta Tripathi as Golu and Rasika Dugal as Beena Tripathi joined Guddu and Kaleen Bhaiya. However, the absence of Munna Bhaiya was keenly felt. Many fans, eagerly anticipating the release of season 3, binged on the episodes as soon as they were available. However, the overwhelming sentiment was one of disappointment. The lack of a compelling plot and the unengaging nature of the season left many fans feeling let down.
