Actor and politician Kirron Kher tested positive for Covid-19.
Kirron took her micro-blogging profile and tweeted, “I have tested positive for Covid. So anyone who has contacted me please get yourself tested.”
In 2021, Kirron was identified as having multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. After beating her illness, she became one of the judges for India’s Got Talent.
As a result of the numerous maternal roles she has taken on throughout her career, Kirron has come to be regarded as the ideal mother in Bollywood movies. She has received high accolades for her performances in films like “Devdas,” “Rang De Basanti,” “Hum Tum,” “Dostana,” and “Main Hoon Na,” among others.
After making a name for herself in theatre, film and television, Kirron turned to politics and became a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. In May 2014, she was elected to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament, from Chandigarh.
Before marrying Anupam Kher, Kirron was married to Gautam Berry, a Mumbai–based businessman, and had a son, Sikandar Kher.
