Kartik Aaryan is set to play the lead role in director Hansal Mehta’s upcoming film Captain India. The film is produced by RSVP and Baweja Studios. The action drama is inspired by India’s biggest and most successful rescue missions. Aaryan will essay the role of a pilot in the movie.
Kartik Aaryan unveiled the first look from Captain India on Friday. The actor was dressed as a pilot with his face hidden behind the captain’s cap. Sharing the first poster of Captain India, Kartik Aaryan wrote: “When a man goes beyond the call of duty. With great pride and honour, we bring to you Captain India.” The poster of the movie describes Captain India as “An ordinary man, an extraordinary mission.”
Kartik said in a statement to a news agency, “Captain India is inspiring and thrilling in equal measure, and it gives me great pride and honour to be a part of such a historical chapter of our country. I have immense respect for Hansal Sir’s body of work, and this was the perfect opportunity to collaborate with him.”
Captain India will go on floors early next year.
