Karan Johar wished Ranveer Singh on his birthday with many old photos. The director released images of the two posing together on the sets for their next movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, providing an inside look at the film’s production. One image shows Alia Bhatt taking the pair’s photo. In one of the candid photographs the director released, Ranveer and Karan could also be spotted during the film’s shooting in Kashmir.
Karan Johar posted a message on Instagram for Ranveer’s 38th birthday wishes on Thursday. In addition to their unseen photos from the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani filming, the director captioned them, “It’s ROCKY day!!!! Happiest birthday to this magnanimous force of nature…thank you for giving all your heart to our kahaani…Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Lots of love to you always (with red heart emojis), Ranveer Singh.”
Ranveer and Alia will reunite in the forthcoming love drama after Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy (2019). The movie, directed by Karan Johar and features renowned actors Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan, is scheduled to open in theatres on July 28.
Whereas Dharmendra and Jaya are a member of Ranveer’s family, the Randhawas actors Churni Ganguly, Tota Roy Chowdhury and Shabana play Alia’s family, the Chatterjee. After seven years since Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), Karan makes his directorial comeback with the movie.
