Netflix India’s upcoming film Meenakshi Sundareshwar has been making a buzz in Bollywood for the last few days. Starring Sanya Malhotra and Maine Pyar Kiya-fame Bhagyashree’s son Abhimanyu Dassani in the lead roles. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment.
Karan Johar released the film’s official teaser on his Twitter handle. He shared the teaser along with the caption, “This festive season, Meenakshi & Sundareshwar are taking you along for their journey of keeping love alive, despite the distance! #MeenakshiSundareshwar coming to Netflix on November 5.”
The film looks like a perfect rom-com drama that revolves around a married couple struggling with long-distance relationship woes. Both Abhimanyu and Sanya played the roles of Tamilians in the movie. As per the teaser, two people meet for an arranged marriage. Then they fall in love, get married. After the wedding, their work set them apart. The film addresses that subject, which is pretty common among young people who are still studying or switching jobs when they get married.
Directed by Vivek Soni and co-written by him and Aarsh Vora. Meenakshi Sundareshwar will release worldwide on November 5, during the Diwali festive weekend.
