The trailer of Ranveer Singh’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar was released a few days ago and received a great response from the audience. While fans eagerly await the film’s debut, it has suddenly become a legal problem due to the trailer’s depiction of a prenatal sex-determination scene. In the movie, the Gully Boy star plays Jayeshbhai Patel, a Gujarati man married to Mudra Patel (played by Shalini Pandey), who is struggling for the life of his unborn female child.
The Delhi Court has filed a complaint against Jayeshbhai Jordaar over the scenes in the trailer. The representation of prenatal sex determination is statutorily prohibited,’ according to the petition filed by advocate Pawan Prakash Pathak. He also hopes that the scene will be ‘removed because it promotes illegal acts.’
Meanwhile, the comedy-drama picture will be released in theatres on May 13th. Divyang Thakkar, an actor-turned-director, makes his directorial debut with this film, produced by Aditya Chopra and Maneesh Sharma under the banner of Yash Raj Films. Aside from Ranveer and Shalini, Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Deeksha Joshi play supporting parts in the film.
