Ahead of its trailer and music launch, the makers of PS-1 introduce one more character from the epic historic drama revolving around Chola Dynasty. The film will features actor Jayaram as Alhwarkadiyan Nambi alias Thirumalaiappan
Sharing the introductory motion poster, the official handle of Madras Talkies captioned the post, “Nothing skips the ears of this court spy! Alhwarkadiyan Nambi alias Thirumalaiappan, a Veera Vaishnavite spy who works for the Prime Minister and Sembiyan Mahadevi, will be portrayed by seasoned actor Jayaram.
The first two cinematic parts are based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s 1955 novel Ponniyin Selvan. The film is directed by Mani Ratnam and co-written by Elango Kumaravel and B. Jeyamohan. Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions are the film’s financiers.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman, and Parthiban are among the cast members of the movie.
A. R. Rahman created the soundtrack, Ravi Varman handled the cinematography, A. Sreekar Prasad dealt with the editing, and Thota Tharani did the production design. On September 30, 2022, the first instalment, PS-I, will be theatrically released in both usual and IMAX formats.
