Eight years have passed since Shoojit Sircar’s Piku enchanted the audience on the big screen. Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Irrfan Khan played the key roles in the movie, which debuted in theatres on May 8, 2015. In honour of Piku’s eighth anniversary, the actress posted three images from the movie’s set and an emotional caption.

“It’s been 8 years since this gem of a movie released with these 2 very special people,” wrote Deepika Padukone, adding: “And if I could relive this experience all over again, I’d do it in a heartbeat. Irrfan, I miss you! Amitabh Bachchan, Shoojit Sircar and Juhi Chaturvedi (scriptwriter of Piku), I love you. To everyone who made this film possible, thank you for your energy. #Piku.”

The caption alluded to how much Irrfan Khan, who passed away from cancer on April 29, 2020, has been missed by Deepika Padukone.
