In Emergency, Anupam Kher is thrilled to portray the daring rebel Jayaprakash Narayan: First look out

Anupam Kher has been doing well lately! He is returning with the 527th film of his career, a feat for which he is very proud. In the upcoming movie Emergency, the actor will play political activist and activist for Indian independence, Jayaprakash Narayan. Kangana Ranaut plays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the movie. On July 22, Anupam shared his first glimpse from Emergency on Twitter. Additionally, he expressed pride in playing this fearless renegade.

FIRST LOOK FROM THE EMERGENCY OF ANUPAM KHER

On July 22, Anupam Kher shared his first image as Jayaprakash Narayan from the upcoming movie Emergency on his social media account. He wears glasses and has white hair on the poster. Sharing the poster, Anupam said, “BIG: Happy and proud to essay the role of the man who questioned fearlessly, a rebel in the truest sense of the word, #JayaPrakashNarayan in #KanganaRanaut starrer and directorial next #Emergency. My 527th! Jai Ho! #JP #Loknayak (sic).”

Jayprakash Narayan advocated for Indian independence and was a theoretician, socialist, and political figure. He is well known for organising the opposition movement against Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the middle of the 1970s, whose overthrow he had advocated for a complete revolution. The film is a biopic based on the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The movie follows her political career as the former Prime Minister of India and shows how she overcame obstacles in the 1975 series of events that forever altered India’s history. The former PM Indira Gandhi is the third Prime Minister of the nation and the only woman to hold the position today. She was Jawaharlal Nehru’s, India’s first prime minister’s daughter. In 2023, the movie is scheduled to be released in theatres.
