In Brahmastra Part 2, would Hrithik Roshan play DEV?

The lead actor of the movie Vikram Vedha, Hrithik Roshan, has caused a stir on the internet with his cryptic statement regarding appearing in Brahmastra Part 2 as the movie’s release date draws nearer with each passing day. While unable to provide a clear response, Hrithik was reported as saying by the news agency PTI, “What is happening? Nothing is happening. Next, Fighter will start, and then there is potential for others to be made, the ones you spoke of. Fingers crossed.”

In light of this recent development, Hrithik Roshan has now expressed his opinion on using mythology and folk tales in Hindi Cinema. By relating mythology to current events, Brahmastra attempted to make connections for those who were unfamiliar. And given Hrithik’s statement about using mythology and folk tales to tell the stories, we are left to wonder what is going through the actor’s head.

Hrithik stated to the news agency IANS, “India as a country is culturally very rich and has a treasure of folk tales and mythology that can act as fodder to tell stories on the celluloid.”

According to IANS, the fundamental concept of “Vikram Vedha” is inspired by the Indian mythical story of Vikram and Betaal.

Hrithik talked about the situation to IANS by saying, “To take something like this that we have all heard in our childhood and create this entire story of ‘Vikram Vedha’ and to use it as a device, it’s so sharp.”

He continued, “We have many such stories in our mythology and folklore. I think we need to re-look at this treasure, and there’s so much fodder in there from a storytelling point of view.”

Pushkar-Gayatri, the film’s duo of directors, continued, “What intrigues us as directors is that our mythology or folklore majorly have no distinction about who is wrong or right. As creators, it’s refreshing to install the stories that are in the grey zone.”

On September 30, Vikram Vedha, which even features Saif Ali Khan as in title character, will be released in theatres.
