Based on a true story, Hansal Mehta’s action thriller Faraaz portrays the Holey Artisan Bakery attack in July 2016 in Dhaka, which rocked Bangladesh. It is now the most popular stream on Netflix.
Following its theatrical debut, the movie made its streaming debut on the hugely popular Netflix, where it rapidly attained the top spot.
Supported by Benaras Media Works and T-Series. Juhi Babbar, Aamir Ali Aditya Rawal, Zahan Kapoor, Jatin Sarin, Pallak Lalwani, and six newbies, including Kapoor, are among the actors who support an ensemble cast in the movie.

The film has two songs, “Musafir ko ghar he aana hai” written and composed by Sameer Rahat; and “Khairiyat see”, written by Alok Ranjan Srivastava and Sameer Rahat. The film premiered at the BFI London Film Festival on 15 October 2022 before its theatrical release.
Hansal Mehta is currently working on many projects that will soon be released, including the films Dedh Bigha Zameen, The Buckingham Murders, Captain India, and an untitled anthology, as well as television programmes including Scoop, Scam 2003, and Lootere.
