The unexpected news of veteran actor Govinda being admitted to the hospital due to a leg injury has left many in shock. According to PTI, which cited the Mumbai Police, he accidentally shot himself with his revolver, resulting in the wound.
Govinda is currently under the best care at CritiCare Hospital, where his firearm has been seized by the authorities, who have also started an inquiry. The actor was allegedly leaving for an appointment when the incident happened at about 4:45 in the morning.
It’s unclear why Govinda was carrying the gun and checking it out. Shashi Sinha, Govinda’s manager, provided an update to ANI regarding the actor’s health, stating, “Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was getting ready to leave for Kolkata. He was keeping his licensed revolver in the case when it fell from his hand, and a bullet got fired, which hit his leg. The doctor has removed the bullet, and his condition is fine. He is in the hospital right now.”
The actor’s team or family has not yet issued a formal statement. He has been discharged from the hospital, according to PTI.
