Sonali Phogat was a politician and actress from India. The reality shows Bigg Boss and TikTok contributed to the BJP politician’s rise to fame. She was a controversial figure who, throughout the years, became involved in many disputes. She passed away on August 22, 2022, in Goa, shocking many. Investigations into her death started as soon as she was brought dead to St. Anthony Hospital in the Anjuna neighbourhood of the North Goa region. The local police first questioned the two men who travelled to Goa with Sonali in Goa.
The two suspects who went to Goa with Sonali Phogat, Sudhir Sagwan and Sukhwinder Wasi, have been detained by police, which is the most recent development in the Sonali Phogat case. The autopsy was performed there at Goa Medical College and Hospital earlier today. “Multiple blunt force injuries” were mentioned in the postmortem report, and the two were identified as suspects.
A senior police official who spoke with the Press Trust of India claims that the case involving the 42-year-death olds added Section 302 to the Indian Penal Code.
A day after Sonali’s death, her brother complained about the two guys currently being held by police. Sonali’s brother Rinku Dhaka said that Sukhwinder and Sudhir, her assistant, also rapped his sister. Additionally, he claimed that his sister had talked to her mother, sister, and brother-in-law hours before she passed away. According to Dhaka, Sonali was brought to Goa as part of the conspiracy, who continued claiming that she did not wish to go there.
The Goa police are investigating the mysterious death of Phogat. Both Sonali’s brother’s version and Sonali’s PA’s version are available to be analyzed.
