Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most-awaited film Gangubai Kathiawadi trailer is out today. Alia Bhatt is essaying the titular role of Gangubai Kathiawadi, a queen of Kamathipura. The film is adapted from author Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai. It also stars Ajay Devgn in a pivotal role.
Sharing the film’s trailer on Twitter, Ajay Devgn wrote, “Bol dena sabhi ko chand nazar aa gaya hai! GANGUBAI ZINDABAD! Trailer out now. #GangubaiKathiawadi in cinemas on 25th Feb.”
The trailer starts with Gangubai’s (Alia Bhatt) grand entry, drunk and sitting in a car in her way and style. Further, you see her facing a public mob and giving a political speech that too her way. Of course, from the trailer, Bhansali makes it clear that Gangu is a woman who is rigid, robust and fearless. It takes you back in time, where you see Gangu forced into prostitution. She is opposed, thrown and pulled down by many, but her determination never ends, and you see her motivation constant and live.
You will find Vijay Raaz in an altogether different avatar which is the trailer’s highlight, obviously will pull the crowd to watch the magnum opus. You see Ajay Devgn as Karim Lala giving an outstanding performance as ever.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a world-class director with a fantastic sense of editing; hence this trailer has given you just that much info which will increase your curiosity to bring you to the theatre and experience the film on the big screen. The story of Gangubai is not revealed in the trailer, which will get the public to watch the movie in the theatre.
It is a Sanjay Leela film; as usual, you will find a fantastic background score, happening music and massive sets, which will create a pleasing and wonderful experience of watching the movie.
