Amazon Prime Video presents Toofaan associated with Excel Entertainment and ROMP Pictures, produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, and Farhan Akhtar. The film stars Farhan Akhtar, alongside Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pathak Shah and Hussain Dalal in pivotal roles and is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
Farhan Akhtar last week released the trailer of his much-awaited sports drama, Toofaan. Soon, the first song from the film, Todun Taak, was also released by the makers. Now, Farhan Akhtar shared a video of Todun Taak on Twitter, which is an ode to all the boxing champions of India.
The high-octane music video encourages the audience with the power of inner strength, willpower and the courage to fight against all odds and features “India Ke Toofaan” – boxing champions from across the country. The four-minute was filmed with the support of the boxing community and academies like Bhiwani Boxing Club (Haryana), Sarita Regional Boxing Academy (Manipur), Balaji Boxing Club (Kolkata), Bhowanipur Boxing Association (Kolkata), Najafgarh Boxing Academy (Delhi), and Ryûko Training Center (Las Vegas).
The song was composed by Dub Sharma, and D’Evil pens the lyrics down.
