Dobaaraa, directed by Anurag Kashyap and starring Taapsee Pannu, will make its world premiere on the opening night of the prestigious LIFF 2022. It centres on a mother who saves a boy, and her life course alters as well.
The movie, which also stars Pavail Gulati, Saswata Chatterjee, and Rahul Bhatt, will make its world premiere on June 23 at the London Film Festival.
The official handle of Cult Movies shared a video post and confirmed the news on social media. It said, “The moment we’ve all been waiting for is here! Dobaaraa is marketed as a new-age thriller and funded by Sunir Kheterpal, Gaurav Bose of Athena, Shobha Kapoor, and Ekta Kapoor’s Cult Movies (a new division under Balaji Telefilm). It is the official Hindi translation of Mirage, a 2018 Spanish-language film directed by Oriol Paulo.
In addition to Dobaaraa, actor Taapsee will appear in “Shabaash Mithu,” a biographical film on cricket star Mithali Raj, who not only transformed the gentleman’s game in India but also around the world.
