The filmmakers released a special video to reveal that the mystery thriller would hit theaters on October 25, 2024, much to the delight of fans anticipating its release date.
On September 30, Netflix India collaborated with its cast members to release a promotional video through a post. The short footage opens with Kajol going into a café to order a cappuccino when she spots Kriti Sanon. Kriti, who plays two roles in the movie, was surprised when she saw Kajol, who is interestingly playing a police officer.
Kajol asks where Kriti is and aims her gun at her as she tries to run away. When the actress replies, she says she was in the gym, but Kajol pushes her more, telling her she was being captured outside a salon at 2:30 p.m.
Finally, Kriti reveals the film’s release date—October 25, 2024—after Kajol orders her to reveal the “secret” in an assertive tone. Furthermore, she hints that Kajol’s problems would be “doubled,” seeing that the actress plays two roles in the movie.
The caption of the post states, “Ab hoga khel shuru, lekin iss kahaani ke hai do pehlu Do Patti releases on October 25, only on Netflix.”
The film, which Shashanka Chaturvedi is directing, is the first production of Kriti Sanon’s Blue Butterfly Films and Kanika Dhillon’s Kathha Pictures.
In the Do Patti teaser released earlier this year, Kajol plays a police officer for the first time in her career, while Kriti adopts a femme fatale character. Shaheer Sheikh will also play a significant role in the movie.
