Dhanush announced his next bilingual project, ‘Sir’ in Telugu, and Tamil’s title is ‘Vaathi.’ Written and directed by Venky Atluri of “Rang De” and “Tholiprema” fame.
Dhanush shared the film’s poster on Twitter with the caption, “My next.. a Tamil, Telugu bilingual #Vaathi #sir”.
Produced by Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments and Sai Soujanya of Fortune Four Cinemas. Naga Vamsi shared the film’s motion poster of the title logo on his Twitter handle and captioned it, “An ambitious & heartwarming journey of a common man. Presenting you @dhanushkraja in & as #Vaathi/#Sir.”
As per the motion poster, we see a set of a junior college. Dhanush will be a junior college lecturer, and Samyuktha Menon plays the female lead. The film also stars Sai Kumar and Tanikella in pivotal roles. Dinesh Krishnan is handling the cinematography and music by GV Prakash Kumar. The shoot of the film will start in January 2022.
On the Workfront, Dhanush will be seen in Atrangi Re with Akshay Kumar, and it will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar from December 24. He has The Gray Man, Thiruchitrambalam, and Naane Varuven in the pipeline.
