The fourth instalment of one of the most well-known animated film franchises, Despicable Me, is about to make its theatrical debut. On January 29, the makers released the trailer for the much-awaited fourth chapter, piquing fans’ curiosity. Despicable Me 4, co-directed by Patrick Delage and Chris Renaud, will feature the return of Gru, Lucy, their children, and the Minions—all fan favourites. It was produced in collaboration with Illumination and Universal. On July 3, Despicable Me 4 is scheduled to premiere on big screens.
The story of Despicable Me 4 continues with the tale of Gru, a former supervillain who changed his ways. He is now a happy man attempting to live a peaceful life. Gru adopts three daughters in the first movie, but he falls in love with Lucy in the second. Gru and Lucy welcomed a baby boy, Gru Jr., in the upcoming fourth part. The third segment featured Gru’s long-lost twin brother Dru. The yellow Minions are shown in the teaser relaxing beside Gru’s opulent swimming pool. Gru and his family are seen to be in a happy, worry-free state.
Max Superball, the new villain in Despicable Me 4, has escaped jail, causing havoc in the city. However, he is motivated by a personal grudge to exact revenge on Gru for a past incident. The estate manager takes Gru to a safe home with his family and the Minions. And so begins an exciting journey with kids and adults hooked to their chairs with adventures, humorous escapades, and funny fight scenes. The movie also has a lot of action scenes.
In Despicable Me 4, Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Chris Renaud, Dana Gaier, Pierre Coffin, and Steve Coogan will return to their roles, with Steve Carrell providing Gru’s voice. Will Ferrell, Madison Polan, Stephen Colbert, Chloe Fineman, Joey King, and Sofia Vergara are a few of the new actors who will be voicing the characters. The fourth instalment of the movie series will be released precisely seven years after the third.
