The overwhelming response to Ananya Panday’s comedy-drama series Call Me Bae has set the stage for the much-anticipated premiere of her upcoming film CTRL. The cyberthriller’s trailer has been unveiled, which provides a tantalizing glimpse into the gripping plot. Ananya’s character can be seen relinquishing ‘control’ over her life in the trailer, a moment that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats. She ‘erases’ the person and her digital history with Vihaan Samat, adding to the intrigue.
The trailer for CTRL, a forthcoming film, was released on social media on September 25, 2024. The starting scene of the two-minute, three-second trailer features Nella, played by Ananya Panday, setting up an account on the CTRL app, a central element in the film that controls her life. She can be seen giving happiness and control of her life to a digital identity.
Then, the trailer depicts her happy relationship with Joe, played by Vihaan Samat. Social media users adore this duo. Nella wants to “erase” Joe after learning that he is unfaithful to her. Joe, though, disappears in real life, leading to a series of events that form the core of the film’s plot. Tanmay Bhat and Rohan Joshi, two YouTubers, also make a short appearance.
Produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and Arya A Menon, the movie is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. Avinash Sampath and Vikramaditya Motwane wrote the script, and Sumukhi Suresh wrote the dialogue. After Call Me Bae, this film is Ananya Panday and Vihaan Samat’s second collaboration. October 4, 2024, is the scheduled release date of CTRL on Netflix.
