Apple releases the first trailer for the City on Fire criminal drama series, based on the same-titled novel by Garth Risk Hallberg.
Wyatt Oleff, Chase Sui Wonders, Xavier Clyde, Nico Tortorella, Jemima Kirke, Ashley Zukerman, Max Milner, Alexandra Doke, Omid Abtahi, Kathleen Munroe, and John Cameron Mitchell are among the actors who appear in the series.
On July 4, 2003, an NYU student was shot in Central Park. Samantha (Chase Sui Wonders) is the only witness, and there isn’t much physical proof. She leaves to meet someone when her friends’ band performs at her favourite downtown club. She makes a promise to come back. She doesn’t ever.
Samantha is the key link connecting a string of inexplicable citywide fires, the downtown music scene, and a wealthy uptown real estate family who are straining under the weight of the numerous secrets they hold. At the same time, the crime against her is investigated.
City On Fire is a series created and written by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. Helmed by Jesse Peretz, Liz Garbus, and Haifaa Al-Mansour.
Apple will debut the City On Fire series streaming on Apple TV+ starting May 12th, 2023!
