Cirkus: Rohit Shetty Provides An Update On His Upcoming Film. It Is A Joyful, Relaxed, And Carefree Movie

One of Bollywood’s most successful directors, Rohit Shetty, has a perfect success rate. The most recent of his eight straight Rs. 100 crore India nett films, Sooryavanshi, makes him the only director to accomplish this feat. In addition to directing, he also serves as the host of the popular television reality programme Khatron Ke Khiladi. He filmed in Cape Town for the 12th season of the reality series. The next film in the director’s busy schedule is Cirkus, which stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Ranveer Singh, Sanajy Mishra, Pooja Hegde, Varun Sharma, and many others.

In an interview with Press Trust Of India, Rohit Shetty discussed Cirkus, his upcoming motion picture. The question of whether Rohit Shetty’s movie resembled any of the films based on the famous Shakespeare play The Comedy of Errors was put to him. The director responded by saying it is not even close to the play’s earlier film adaptations. He said, “There have been many versions of The Comedy of Errors. In Bengali cinema, it was made as a black and white film, then Do Dooni Chaar with Kishore Kumar. So, it has changed a lot over the years. Our film is a different take. It is a happy, cool and breezy film, much on the lines of Golmaal and All The Best”. Rohit Shetty began work on this film during the lockdown and shot most of his film in a controlled environment, following the Covid-19 protocols. The film was postponed from its July 2022 release, which will now be released on Christmas weekend.

In addition to Cirkus, Rohit Shetty is also producing a direct-to-digital television series called Indian Police Force with Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi. After that, he will start working on Singham 3, whose release is planned for Independence Day 2023.
