The prequel to Game of Thrones has the potential to win back fans
HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon has released its debut teaser, and based on how it now stands; it appears to be a promising successor to the original record-breaking programme.
The reasonably lengthy film provides a preview of the civil war that Westeros will experience as the issue of who is the true successor to the iron throne surfaces. The spinoff is supposedly set at least 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones, according to a previous announcement from HBO.
After their father’s demise, siblings Aegon II and Rhaenyra engaged in a civil war known as the “Dance of the Dragons,” which will be depicted in the television series. The battle pits the Lannisters and Starks against the most potent dragons of House Targaryen and other vital houses in Westeros. It would be centuries before Westeros saw another dragon because of Daenerys Targaryen (Khaleesi). Here is a link to House of Dragon’s video:
According to Variety, the series stars Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, and Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower. Lord Corlys Velaryon, aka “The Sea Snake,” will be portrayed by Steve Toussaint, and the formidable King Viserys I will be represented by Paddy Considine. Even though there are other “Westeros-related shows” in the works, according to Variety, “House of the Dragon” is the only officially confirmed “Game of Thrones” spinoff programme to date.
